I've shopped around since we are not getting our air through Disney. Travelex seems to have the best product for the $$. Any experience with them? TIA.

Have not used them yet, but will be using their insurance for our cruise in January.

I'm a little confused on the insurance. My TA told me that if the coast guard had to medivac any of our party off of the boat it would coast over $20,000. That is a good reason to add insurance.
Are there companies that I can shop around with. Or is it best to stick with the travel agent's rate of, I think $49 per person.

I've looked at several websites, and insuremytrip dot com seems to have the most effective way to compare coverage and cost.

I used Travelex for my 9/4 cruise, which I had to cancel due to Frances. They too reimburse me for the premium b/c of the cancellation. Not a big hassle at all.

They do have the best comprehensive plan [Travel Plus] for the least amt of $$.

Whatever you do, don't use Disney's plan as they only cover the cruise. Travel Plus covers from the minute you leave home, hotel, car, air trans. & the cruise.

Do you have Travelex web address? I was going to use AccessAmerica this week, but think I want to check out Travelex. Has anybody compared the coverage.

Thanks.

We used CSA web direct through insuremytrip.com. It was one of the better companies w/good coverage at one of the cheapest prices. Also, if you are seeking ins outside of the 14 day window from when you first put down your deposit, most ins. cos won't cover preexisting conditions (whether for medical or for trip cancellation/interruption purposes). This preexisting condition exclusion extends to family members. The reason I went with CSA over the others is that it only extends to family members that are scheduled to travel with us. DH & I don't have any preexisting probs, so we aren't worried about us. But, what if a family member who's staying behind does have a problem or worse, dies. Hopefully this won't happen, but I liked CSA for that reason.
