Travel in July/Aug. is June a good use year?

Just received our Fedex package of docs this minute (yeah!!). Our guide told us our use year would start July 1st, but the docs say, June 1st. Since I am a teacher, most of our vacations will take place during the summer months, so is June 1st a good use year for us?

June would be a great use year for mostly July and August trips

If a trip falls through you would have plenty of time to use the points within the use year (until May 31st the next year), or you would still be within your banking window to bank all current points.

June is an excellent choice for those who mostly travel in the summer months. Generally speaking, you want a use year that begins up to 4 or 5 months before you usually travel.

Remember that use year is only important because it determines banking deadlines. If you never have to cancel a trip, use year doesn't matter at all.
