Travel forum board similar to DIS?

OK, quite some time ago someone posted a travel forum board or website similar to DIS for other vacation destinations where you could check hotels, restaurants, and fun spots to visit. I tried the search funciton here, but didn't come up with anything. I'm hoping someone remembers what I'm talking about!

My son is going on a high-school trip to Washington, D.C. with a small group of students, and I'm am trying to help the planner pick (or avoid) hotels, etc. I know for D.C. (as with most any big city) there are definite areas to avoid and since I'm an obsessive Disney vacation planner, I thought I could use my skills to help with planning. I just can't find the scrap of paper in my office that I wrote that site down on!!

I always use TripAdvisor for hotel reviews, etc.

yes, tripadvisor.com is what was mentioned and it's great. It takes a while longer to get responses, but good advice/reviews for the most part. My parents are retired and travel the globe constantly and my mom is obsessed with their site! For restaurants I also sometimes check out Yelp.com before I travel.
