We are going to Florida Feb.5th and will be staying with family in Haines City off of 27. From there on the 6th we will be heading for Vero. Does anyone know a way to get there without going back to Rt. 4 and following the direction on the confirmation. Will be at Vero the 6th thru 9th and then on to OKW for a week. Hope for sunshine and warmth. Its been a cold January in up state NY. Thanks for any help.

I'm not positive what you're asking. Two ways that you can get to Vero are either by taking t he Bee-Line across to I-95 or by getting on the Florida Turnpike closer to WDW.

We also have friends in Haines City, and last summer we took them to Vero with us. We picked them up, and drove south on 27 to rte 60, about 30 minutes. Turn left (east) into Vero Beach. Once there you need to go north on rte 1 for about 6-7 miles, the Vero resort is not in Vero Beach, but just north in Wabsso Beach. The trip took about 1 hr and 55 minutes. With all the work on I4, between 27 and the bee line, I think it was just as fast or faster. You will have some 4 lane roads, but much is just 2, 1 lane each way. Traffic was not bad, but we went to Vero on Sunday morning. We came back I95... wish we didn't, took 3 1/2 hours, a car was flipped over and traffic was a mess.
