Do they kick you out (Fantasy) of the adult pool, at the time of closing?

How about the hot tubs? Is it 10:00 pm? And how strict are they?

I've not stayed until closing, but they pull nets over them, so I'd imagine pretty strict. The crew responsible for those aren't going to just stand around for people to stay beyond closing. They have other tasks to do once those are closed - including cleaning them.

I hope people respect the closing time. CMs have many jobs and should not be challenged when it's closing time. The hot tubs are open for many hours a day so when they're closed, they're closed.
I agree. There have been times when I didn't realize something was closing (not necessarily a hot tub, maybe a lounge, etc.) and a cast member would gently, sometimes hesitantly, let me know they were closed/closing. I'm always super apologetic, as I recognize me staying is keeping me from their duties (and probably closing out their shift). If I stay past closing, it's because I'm having a good time and truly don't realize what time it is, but as soon as someone lets me know I will leave.

Reminds me on the EBTA, there was a group that frequently seemed to stay late in the concierge lounge. We would always leave when it was closing time, but this group would stay well past that. One time we walked by like an hour after closing and they were still in there. 😥

Yes, they let you know that it’s closing time and ask you to leave the pool. Usually they come back a few minutes later to actually close it, so don’t stand next to you while you are climbing out. It’s pretty much exactly on time.

Well, if they want people out of the hot tub or adult pool on time....perhaps they should install some clocks!

Closing 10pm is ridiculous. They really should be open 24/7.
Agreed, I'm not sure about 24/7, I get the safety issue if someone has been drinking. But, I do think midnight closing is reasonable for adults? They really do want to shut the ship down early. I don't mind usually, but every now and then I'd love to jump into the hot tub later at night or the pool.

Really is a shame personal responsibility is a thing of the past.

Midnight is still too early IMO. If we enjoy what ever is taking place in the lounge (Match Your Mate, variety act, etc), it typically ends around 11:15 or so. So by the time you go back to your room change and then make your way to the Quiet Cove area, it will be almost midnight. So 1am is the absolute earliest it should close.

It is not just about personal responsibility. They also use that time to clean, and sometimes drain or refill, etc. I think 12 AM for DCL makes sense (they would likely need to keep the bar staffed while the pool is opened) but 10 PM is way too early (BTW this is the stuff to mention on the exit surveys or to email DCL about here: dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com if you want changes made.

I've probably mentioned the need for more entertainment/activity options in the evening - including leaving the Quiet Cove pool and hot tub open later, among many other suggestions - in every survey of our last 10 cruises. They don't need to keep the bar open and staffed... especially if concerned about guest safety as a result of drinking too much.

DCL has never said the pools close early because they are afraid of people drinking and swimming, it is conjecture. Having crew out there, even if not lifeguards, is important to make sure everyone is safe and behaving.

Even just making the post-adult show DJ play more modern music would go a long way. Instead of intentionally mixing in well loved throwbacks like older Rihanna, Lady Gaga, or Beyoncé songs with modern dance music the DJs always seem to play 2010s pop songs that no one listens to or cares for anymore like Blurred Lines.

I'm not expecting a full rave or dance party atmosphere, but would it kill them to at least play a little dance music instead of just 10-15 year old pop that is already forgotten.
