Travel dates fall over 2 discount periods - is this correct?

We are traveling Aug 10 - 19. The summer promo travel dates end Aug 14 and late summer starts Aug 15. I can see the rooms I want available online with both discounts, but the system won't combine the two discount periods, meaning we'd need separate reservations to accomodate both discounts. So I tried calling Disney reservations and they said they cannot combine the discounts into one reservation either. Is this correct? I know the online system is limited, but was hoping they'd have more flexibility if you booked through the call center.

Just trying to make sure before I go and make four separate reservations (we need two rooms) and run the small risk of having to change rooms halfway through our vacation.

Yes, that is correct. You cannot combine two discounts under one reservation. The system will only recognize one promotion, therefore you will have to book two separate reservations. However if you have the same room type booked under both promos, they will do their best to keep you in the same room.

We did the same thing two years ago - two rooms; two promos & Platinum package; six separate reservations. They only switched us when we checked in on the Plat package since we were going from a CL room to SV.
