Travel curling iron question :)

I don't remember seeing the answer here before, but are butane (cordless) curling irons okay to bring on the ship? Normally it's not a big deal but hey, I'm a girl! I wanna look gooooood in my family vacation photos!

I have brought my plug in flat iron on 3 cruises. I kept it on the bathroom shelf and the CM never touched it.
