Hi,
I have been accepted on the walt disney world international college program, which means i am going to be working at walt disney world in june, july and august.
My mum and a couple of her friends are thinking of visting. We have been to orlando many times, most recently being the september just gone. I usually organise the holidays to try and find the cheapest deal, but at the moment travel city direct is the cheapest. I have read that some people love them and some people hate them but what are your personal opinions?

Here is what the TCD says when i get to the final price quote

27 Aug 06 - Flight (5A126) LONDON GATWICK - SANFORD INT'L
12:00 / 16:15 MAIN CABIN
FLORIDA FLYDRIVE (ORLANDO)
F/D (x 1) Car INTERMEDIATE 4 DOOR
LDW/SLI/UMP/TAXES FULLY INCLUSIVE INSURANCE
10 Sep 06 - Flight (5A127) SANFORD INT'L - LONDON GATWICK
21:00 / 10:15 MAIN CABIN
_________________________________________________________

FLIGHT PRICE = 195.00 x 4 = 780.00
AVIATION AND SECURITY LEVY (ASL) = 9.00 x 4 = 36.00
BOOKING FEE = 10.00 x 4 = 40.00
FUEL SUPPLEMENT = 45.00 x 4 = 180.00
CAR HIRE PACKAGE = 378.00 x 1 = 378.00
Total £ 1414.00

In the earlier section i chose TCD's standard all inclusive car insurance.

So, does this mean that £1414.00 is the final price to pay, includes all the necesary fees and insurance and add ons for the flight and the car hire. IT ends up at about £350 which is good.

We have a timeshare so that covers accomodation.

Thank you for any help

One more question. The website only allows 14 day holidays, if we phone are there any other options in length of stay, such as 10 nights?

thank you

We've been with them several times and only had a problem once 23 hour delay.) They are bargain basement, don't go expecting anything great. The meal's are very nice and the staff have always been very friendly and courteous. We will probably be flying with them again next year.

Does the quote include personal insurance (for health, baggage, delays etc)??

Also, TCD only do 14 day flights. WE have used them for years and never had a problem with them, but came back with them last week and were not happy with the service. But they are reasonably cheap.

Stal, make sure you make a note of my contact details, I'm working for Disney in the DVC department and living in Orlando.
Drop me an email before you come over and I'll give you my numbers, just in case you ever need someone in the area to help you out with anything. Hopefully you'll never need to call the numbers, but away from home it's comforting to know you have a local number you can call in an emergency.

Well done Stal! My DD aged 10 asked a UK worker in Epcot how she got to work there and she explained the international program to her (she was a lovely girl from Liverpool). So now DD has a goal that she'll stick in at school and apply for the program between sixth form and uni, that truly would maker her dreams come true.

As for TCD, we used them last year and found the journey out was fine, but back wasn't so good, however we were there for hurricane frances and there was a lot of disruptions in general. They are about the cheapest around so my advice would be expect what you pay for and if its good thats a bonus.

stal - many congratulations on your achievement! What a fantastic opportunity for you. I wish you well (though cannot help with your question I am afraid).

congratulations on getting the job you will have a ball

on tcd, we just flew with them on december 3rd and are due to return with them december 17th (in florida now)

we have been a few times with them, and this year has been the only problem, we upgraded to sunshine first but our plane got bumped to an air atlanta one, and we all got downgraded to ecomony, not a nice flight at all, very little leg room etc and you cant see the tv at the frount if anyone has there window shutter open. On a normal flight on a tcd plane its very nice and would highly reccomand them, but air atlanta realy bites.

I hope we get the tcd plane we are meant to for our return.

Fly tcd, its a great saving and we are booked with them next year, Im just a bit upset about the flight here

and Im rambling....
