Travel Agent Question

I booked my first WDW trip a few months ago through AAA. Well as of today I'm doing the 17 day dance and getting very excited. Our travel agent told us that we wouldnt get our stuff until about 2 weeks prior to our departure date. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through AAA and how long it was before your trip that you got all of your stuff. I guess I'm just getting very antsy and can't wait until I see our luggage tags and paperwork and whatnot. Anybody have some advice to help calm me down and help me get an idea of when I should be receiving all of my vacation stuff??

My TA is not with AAA but I usually get my stuff a month before I leave..approx 30 days. Have a great trip!!

We leave in 10 days, booked through AAA. We received all our documents at the 19 day mark. Have fun!

Just paid off my trip yesterday with my AAA TA and she told me that 2 weeks prior she will have all of my stuff. From what I understood, Disney paperwork and airline paperwork come sooner but she waits for DME stuff to come in too before she will have me come in to pick everything up.

kmbee, when are you going??? I just paid off mine on Monday (it was actually due yesterday but I did it a couple of days early). My AAA TA told me 3-4 weeks and they will have everything. I always thought that the DME stuff comes directly to your home. Am I wrong?

My AAA TA also told me 3-4 weeks. Our trip isn't until end of October. I would be interested to hear when you do receive your packet. Have a Great Trip!

I booked my pacakage from AAA also. We are leaving in 28 days and my travel agent called me last friday and told me my documents were in but ME had not yet arrived. She said that ME would not arrive until 21 days before your departure date. Aparently ME is sent to AAA instead of to your home.

Well with these responses I'm starting to get nervous. Our 14 mark is next monday so if we havent heard anything at that point I'm going to contact her. Hopefully we'll get our stuff by moday though.

Just paid off our trip yesterday My TA told me that they will call me once all the paperwork is there - I was led to believe 2-3 weeks so that would put us at the 30ish day mark - I would call before the 10 day mark to make sure all is in order IF you don't hear from them 1st. Have FUN!!!!!!!!

Going Oct 9-16. I thought I had to set up DME and that paperwork came to your home also but she said no, she will set up DME. Then she said she will get one set of paperwork and the DME stuff comes about a week later and when she gets everything she will call me to come and pick up my paperwork. I was getting nervous about all of the other posts re: DME tags not showing up, etc.
