I've posted about this within another thread but as it will probably get lost...

I enquired today about prices for our possible trip June half term at a travel agents today. The TA told me they get the same prices as they use Disney for the bookings. She was happy to have a check for me and didn't seem to be fobbing me off by saying that about the prices....

She checked the HNY and it was coming up with 30% off going out Sat or Sun but ending Wed of the half term week. Now, I've been stalking the prices for a few weeks now and HNY has never had a deal on like that at that time. What is stranger though is I've gone in tonight to have a look myself and it is only showing 15% off now :confused3 It wasn't showing anything last night :confused3

Could it be in actual fact that the TA did have better prices (the SL quote she did was coming in at the same as I have now and have had for a few weeks). Or could DLRP have had 30% off for half a day on that hotel??

I'll probably try and call them tomorrow and ask them to double check but wondered if anyone knew. The screen was totally the same as the one we use on the Disneyland Paris web to book so it is confusing me.

Hi

Don't know whether this helps the co-operative travel charge the same as the disney website, I know this as I checked on the Disney Site how much our holiday would be in October 2012, and when we went to co-op to book it, it was exactly the same price.

Happy planning

maybe she was checking prices over other land page? Maybe it came up with different offer?

I booked with TA last year, price was the same when I checked page myself.

Thanks Bev. I called them today and the TA rechecked and the price is back up to only 15% off (which is what I found last night). I can only think that the 30% off was literally only on HNY yesterday (as I'd checked it the evening before and it was no discount), or she had put in the wrong dates which I doubt as I was sitting next to her when she did it. She was puzzled as well :confused3

I guess it means that until we book, we need to keep a daily eye out in case it happens again.

Odd that an offer would just be on for part of a day though .

i too have found that travel agents charge the same price as the disney price. i have booked my trip with my local travel agent for the same price as booking direct thru disney and managed to get free travel insurance thrown in, and you get the added bonus of paying in installments for the holiday. (i think if you book online you have too pay the full amount??)

travel agents usually run the same deals as disney direct.
you usually have to pay in full online with disney but if you phone then you can pay in installments.

if you book over the phone direct with dlp in france, they can guarantee you the best deal. if however you notice a better deal, you can usually phone up and they will offer you an upgrade, i've noticed a few posts on this.

:thumbsup2
