Travel agent for booking your cruise?

I'm still waiting for one of the above mentioned TA's to give me a quote. I called and emailed the agent two months ago. Yes, two months ago. sent me a follow up email saying would get back to me that day and never did (and no , it's not in the spam box). must be really busy, lol.

Yeah, I could call back or email again, but if the TA's too busy to follow up as promised, I don't want to give them business.

Thanks to all who replied.

I will try some of your suggestions other than Dreams, as I am not having a good experience with them. For my Jan 2004 cruise, all went like clockwork for our Cat 4 room (family of 5).

This time around, we are bringing Grandma, so we have 6. For the 12/31/05 7 day, I asked for two cat 10 rooms preferrably joining, or a Cat 7 with a 11 across, plus early dinner seating The Dreams TA came back with 3 cat 10's (?) and wait-listed for early dinner. I know the wait-list for dinner is not a TA issue, but have no idea why 3 cat 10's. This is the same TA that I tried to make WDW reservations through for this year 12/30-1/3/2005 at the Yacht club, and she came back with the holiday rate for all the nights, even though the rates drop $200 per night starting Jan 1. All one has to do is make two reservations, one up to 12/31 and the other from Jan 1 on, but the way this TA set me up she was costing me $600 more than if I made the ressies myself.

Anyway enough ranting. I will try one of the other suggestions. Thanks again

You hit the nail on the head!!!
IF they can't give you good service when you make the initial contact, imagine how much trouble you'd have if there was a problem!!!

I highly recommend Dana at www.micdan.com she is the best! I have used her 3 times now each time her rate has been the greatest and her attitude even more fantastic! :flower:

Another vote for Tim at MouseEarsVacations. I e-mailed him and he e-mailed me back a few hours later - from the WONDER! Gotta love that service!

I just booked my 5/15/05 Disney Wonder cruise with All Seasons Travel. They quoted me the best price - $600 savings over booking directly with Disney. So far, they have been great! As others recommended MICDAN, I requested a quote from them but never received a response. I assumed they did not want my business. :boat:

Not to rain on your parade, but All Seasons was great for me also until three days before we were due to cruise and the hurricane was cancelling/redirecting ships. Their office staff was more concerned about their own cruise than in helping me. Plus after Disney sent the vouchers for travel, it took nearly a month for them to send it to me.
NOT AT ALL PLEASED with the "service after the sail". Just hoping that you don't have any problems because unless they've "learned their lesson", you are definitely on your own.

Sent All Seasons a request a week ago and never heard back.

Dreams has always been quick to get back to me, they're great. I was hoping to get a quote from Dana at Micdan, but we end up playing phone tag and she will leave a message for me saying she has my quote, but no details. When I call her to get the quote, I always get voicemail and this continues back and forth. We ended up never connecting at all. I've also dealt with MouseEars and felt the agent who was assigned to us was efficient, although somewhat arrogant.

Costco is always a good option.

Costco will give you 10% off your Disney rate for an outside cabin and 5% off an inside.

I recommended my friends to All Seasons because of their price being much less than Disney, and they saved $2500 by going through All Seasons. Although I haven't used them yet, they were happy with All Seas and even rebooked with them.

We shop just as much as everyone else does to try
and get a great deal. They are out there. Sometimes
you hit it off and other times it just is not a right
match. Thats just the way life is sometimes.

But be prepared and you will at least 9 times out
of 10 get a quick response from whoever you are
using. We have not had a problem :) Without
the information the agency needs I can see were
it could take longer.

We will have our correct names, the ship, the date,
the category and the amount of people in each
cabin and most important the ages at time of our
trip! Citizenship and other details you can discuss
when you decide to go.

We are already to go for 2005 - WONDER and cant wait!!!!!
We need our Cove Cafe :)

:flower1: WWWWOOOOOO HHHHOOOOOO :boat:

We need a smiley with a ship icon :)

In my opinion, Dream's Unlimited is top notch. They sponsor this site which enables us to interact about our favorite place on earth....without sponsors, this site would cease to exist. DU's agents are friendly, and courteous...they go out of their way to please their clients. Frankly, they just ROCK! :rockband:

I've used Costco, cruise.com and the line directly, but my recommendation is still www.cruisequick.com They just blew everyone else out of the water. The service has been incredible. I can't believe how quickly they respond to my numerous questions. :D

Dana at Micdan has my vote. She sometimes hard to reach (busy) because she is soooooo popular, but if you leave a voicemail or e-mail she will ALWAYS get back to you. Definitely gives a great discount, too!

We have used AAA (Kim) for all of our travel needs. She has done a magnificent job for all of us. She has handled several large groups for us and everything went flawlessly. Everyone had everything they wanted and the onboard credit is always nice. PM me if you would like contact info. Kim has helped several here on the boards from all across the country!
