Does anyone know if travel agents are allowed to book two rooms-we are a party of 6 and normally travel with relatives but will be on our own this time. Thanks

I don't see why not. It doesn't matter how many rooms you want, you just have to tell your Travel Agaent your plans, and they will work with you to get the best price possible.

Are you referring to a Travel Agent Discount? Disney states that a travel agent, traveling on the agent discount, can only book one room at the discount rate, and must be occupying that room with their guests.

Is there no way known for a Travel agent to get there agent discount on the room and experience disney dining also. I dont know if I am missing something or not but I cant think of a way. Thats a shame how can travel agents advise if they cant experience disney dinning without being denied there discount on room.

Hi,

The above responses are correct but Boardwalk has a room that fits 6 or you can usually get a rate at the SS or OKW villas.

I hear ya!!
I wish we could get the dining plan. But 50% off a hotel room is sweet. I have a 2-bedroom villa at OKW for 6nts in August for $1600. I can't rent DVC points for that cheap. So we'll do breakfast in our room, and we have one nice meal planned for each night. My daughter is working in the World this summer so she can get us our MYW passes at a discount also.

I really want to try the Disney Plan, I mean I am willing to pay reg. ticket prices but I cant figure out any way around this, is there any other discount dinning plan available okay what if a person went crazy & booked allstars on priceline for the same nights and no that wouldnt work either no pkg, deal! uggh I see nothing, I cant believe disney doesnt want us to experience this. :badpc: :sad2:

Any idea on how to get a room that sleeps 6 or the 2 bedroom at the villas? Everytime I type in the number of kids (4) in our family the system either says nothing available or offers the cabins (which I would love to try on a shorter trip, but not on this one)? I've also asked about the dining plan for travel agents and was told the same thing: not available! I finally gave in for our trip in July and booked a AAA package with one day tickets. It still works out to be a pretty good savings and my daughter wanted to get the storytelling experience.

When you put in the hotel select one of the villas. They usually only have ta rates at SS or OKW, pm me if you need help checking.

Thanks

I am a travel agent and emailed disney directly and they said you could book two rooms if you need them to accomodate your kids.

You can experience the dining plan, just not with your TA discount. You will have to book the room at full rack rates to add the dining plan (or be booked on a DVC stay.)
I am a TA and have foregone my TA discount on the room to do the dining plan (and the free dining is a great time to do this.)
I think it is beneficial for you as a TA to try out the plan so you can advise your clients first hand of the benefits and how it works--it is worth foregoing the discount at least once.

Sue Ellen is right on the money!

I had a trip planned last October and when the free dining came out I moved my dates a bit and paid rack rate for the room. The trip was for my family of 5 (all adult age). It was well worth it. The dining plan takes some planning, and experiencing it helped me tremendously with clients and their dining itineraries.

We're also going this August, but too early for free dining. Staying in a 2br at OKW at 1/2 off. Not too shabby. My daughter is a CP this summer so she will be getting us our tickets at a discount also.
