Trattorio al Forno Character Breakfast

Has anyone been to this? Anything good or bad about it?

I did it last month, the food is high quality, the characters are great, there is a sing a long/parade in the dining room that occurs which may or may not impact your experience one way or another.

If it's easy to get to for you and you can snag a reservation I'd do it at least once. Easy to transition right into a day at Epcot or HS afterwards

We did it recently and enjoyed the characters. My little girl walked around holding ariels hand during parade!! Not overly impressed with food - everything very salty. Although they were very accommodating with the children. We were staying at Wilderness Lodge and it was not an easy journey using Disney buses.

We enjoyed it for the most part, had a few issues with our order but they were resolved efficiently and realize they are still working the kinks out.

Your welcome - it was fun (despite our "small" food issues) - we loved how the characters were announced at the door and how they went around with a parade of kids (very cute!) - some of the other character meals do this, but it was a little "lower-key" and since it is not a buffet it is much more relaxing...yet entertaining!

I have this booked for 9:45am before an Epcot day. I am still unsure if I should keep it or not.

We were there yesterday. The character interactions were fun. Flynn Rider was VERY charming. I was pleasantly surprised by most of the food! We can recommend the calzone, steak (a chewier cut and flavorful), and Tangled eggs. The pancakes need the blueberry compote. The kid version just comes with syrup and were quite dry. The earlier reviews depicted a tiny serving for kid meal, but they weren't for our breakfast. He had two of the adult sized circles with two tails. Still, not the dish we would encourage someone to order. My youngest is a big eater and only had a couple of bites. The cheesy egg torte, that comes with the steak, wasn't a hit. I didn't try it but DH thought the texture wasn't pleasant.

I have to say, Sunday gravy can be a huge disappointment in restaurants but their version is nicely seasoned.

Keep it especially if it's your Epcot day, you can enjoy this and then walk or boat to Epcot and enter through the Int'l Gateway so you'll already be in the countries. We had an ADR back in April and ending up canceling but were able to get another ADR for May and I'm glad we were able to go that time. We were actually heading out that day but if we were to go again I'd definitely go to either HS or Epcot after.

Just had breakfast here on 6/1. Character interaction was AMAZING. Flynn and Eric were very engaging...I read somewhere else that Eric could be a dud, but he was not the day we were there. The pastries were very delicious. Our whole table ordered pancakes and I was disappointed in them. They were extremely dry. I think this is because they were stacked like a tower and were thicker pancakes than I am used to. Overall, it was a good experience, but is a one and done thing for me.

I've heard nothing but good things about this restaurant and am excited to eat there on the 4th of July. Just keep in mind that you'll have to actually get to the Boardwalk for it - taking an uber is certainly the easiest solution (depending on where you're coming from) but on this forum and others I see posts a lot of people who are eating there the next day and haven't thought out how to get there with Disney transportation.

I've heard nothing but good things about this restaurant and am excited to eat there on the 4th of July. Just keep in mind that you'll have to actually get to the Boardwalk for it - taking an uber is certainly the easiest solution (depending on where you're coming from) but on this forum and others I see posts a lot of people who are eating there the next day and haven't thought out how to get there with Disney transportation.

Agreed, this specific meal takes some planning transportation wise. IMHO Uber is probably the best way to go if you don't have a car (and even if you do they don't guarantee that you can park in their lot at the BW). We were lucky that there was plenty of parking but the security guard at the gate was pretty clueless and didn't even know what the Bon Voyage Breakfast was! (wow-either just covering for the day or more training is need...an ADR does not guarantee parking.

Otherwise the only other option is to connect buses or a boat at one of the parks (or even walk from HS but be prepared to arrive sweaty LOL) and then go to the BW from there but you need to allow AT LEAST an hr for that as transportation can be a challenging at times.

I figured I would take a Lyft directly to Boardwalk, and then walk into Epcot for the rest of my morning. The little cost of a one-way trip, is well worth the time I will save!

I feel the same way! That's what we'll be doing to go from Beach Club to Ohana too
