Trash Talking About DISboards.

Another WDW message board posted a link about the Spanglers winning the YOMD Grand Prize...and some of the comments that are being said about the boards/members are a bit uneasy for some.

Since I cannot post the link I'll will help you locate it. On the WDWMAGIC . com forum board, in the WDW General Discussion board, title of thread: THE SPANGLER TRIP REPORT!!! KEYS TO THE KINGDOM.

OK. That's actually kind of funny . . . and true.

If that's the worst example you could find, I woudn't really call that "trash talking". Honestly. Would you?

Seriously, though, why would you even care? And more importantly, why would you post it here to try and stir things up?

This is the kind of thing my 5th graders get all worked up about.

Who cares?? Just let it go and feel the DIS love.

I don't care that the kid didn't like the boards. That's not the issue. I don't like the word creepy. When I think of the word creepy, I think of the lines of patter-@ss. It's not that big of a deal; the MOD deleted the thread because it started to turn into an argument.

Well said & I agree 100% - the "5th graders" wisdom cracked me up!

BTW - 6 years ago I found the wdwmagic board and they were extremely helpful in planning my year 2000 trip. I think I did not even try looking for another forum. I returned to post a TR, answered questions and profusely thanked them all.
I searched them out again for our 2007 trip, but attendance there & infomation has declined, or maybe I just did not need as much basic info this time around.

But either way IMHO, forums all have their unique personality. So some are suited to certain peep when others are not. No one should be "talking trash" about others as the creators and contributors ALL generously offer their time posting both fact & opinion in an effort to help others.
I do understand though LoriMistress, as "creepy" evokes same images in my mind.
However, I've seen the same thing happen on the cruise forums; it's just silly and ignoring rather than responding & perpetuating always is best defense.

The world wide web is a BIG cyberspace and everyone can find their little corner to belong.

I don't care what anyone else thinks of these boards. If it wasn't for all of you and the helpful tips we get here, our past 2 vacations would not have been nearly as good. We just love ya all!

Wow, I leave the internet for a bit and all of the sudden I'm the creepy girl that is making a mountain out of a mole hill. I dropped the issue all ready; sorry if others still want to cling onto the issue (or me.) I didn't think I would be berated by others on a Disney message board, but whatever helps you sleep at night. Sorry if I made a big deal out of nothing. It's not the end of the world. Maybe others should start following their own advice by acting like an adult and dropping the issue that's been burried and dead several hours ago.

I'm not trying to start an argument. In fact, this will be my last post on the subject. I will post the same thing on the other tread at the Chit Chat board.
