Just got back from another wonderful stay at BWV. The weather was perfect, the room was perfect, and we all had a great time. We rented a 2BR and a studio, but were upgraded to a 2BR and a 1BR.
On Wednesday, we had our trash and towel day. The weird thing was that the 1BR part of the 2BR was not well-serviced at all. There was only one new bar of soap, no new box of Tide or packet of auto dishwashing detergent, and although the trash had been taken out, there were no extra bags left under the clean bag.
I didn't complain, partly because I wasn't sure exactly what items were replenished during trash and towel service, and partly because I didn't discover most of these items were missing until I actually needed them, which was usually late at night.
We did leave a tip ($10) but we left it in the studio part of the 2BR. We did not pick up the bedroom before the service, because we didn't think the maids would be going into the bedroom. We did clear off the counters in the kitchen.
So what exactly is included in the trash and towel service, and do you think I should have complained? Or at least called housekeeping to ask for the missing items?
Also, we were in rooms 4125, 4127, and 4129. Is this normally a standard view or a preferred view? It overlooked the valet parking lot, but did have a view of the canal if you craned your neck, so I suspect it might have been one of those not-so-great preferred views. Anyway, we got them for the points of a standard view, so of course we didn't complain.
