Is there transportation from DVC resorts to Seaworld or do we need to rent a car?

No direct transportation that I know of. This is what I've discovered (haven't done it yet though):

1. Cheapest Option: Take #50 LYNX bus from TTC or Downtown Disney to Sea World
Click here to link to the LYNX schedule It leaves TTC at 1 minute and 31 minutes after the hour (running every 1/2 hour from 6:31 am - 12:01 am) and leaves DTD at 19 and 49 minutes after each hour. You can return at 10# and 40# after the hour from 5:40 am to 11:10 pm I'm not sure if it is $2.00 each way or 2.50. I read somewhere that kids are cheaped and I read somewhere else that one child can ride free with a paying parent - I'm brinking enough exact change for either situation if we do that.

2. You can arrange a Shuttle through Mears Transportation I think it should be $18 pp round trip

3. You can get a cab, Mears' fare estimator indicates it is about 10 miles from Epcot to Sea World with an estimated fare of $23.65 each way, so if you have 3 people, the cab is cheaper than the shuttle. If we do a cab - I will call Mears since I have read horror stories about other cabbies driving you clear over tarnation.

4. You can also schedule a towncar for $37 each way

This link should get you to a PDF of their current prices

5. You can rent a car right at Disney for about $35 pd - check out Mousesavers for latest Coupons I considered that but I've never driven in Orlando before.

I hope this is helpful!:flower3:

Yes - Thank you very much. I was considering going to Seaworld, but not if it was going to be too costly.

2$ per adult and up to three children per paying adult ride free
1$ for seniors and children/students without paying adult

you can receive one transfer for free when you board the bus.

Barge - My husband was super excited about the very cheap public bus option ;) :thumbsup2

We can catch the bus in DT Disney - Does anyone know where the bus stop is?

It looks like it will cost $2.00 per adult and $1.00 for our seven year old (our two six year olds ride free). Can we just use singles to pay the bus driver?

Thanks!

Oh, Anyone know how early we can catch a bus from Pop to DTD, or TTC?

We have used the Lynx buses on several trips and have always found them to be reliable and easy to use. We often take the bus to Sea World and then catch a cab back to the hotel at the end of the day - approx. $20 IIRC. :thumbsup2

There's a money machine as you board the bus. Singles will be just fine (it doesn't give change).

There's actually 3 stops in the DTD area. There's a bus stop on the other side of cirqu, which is the main bus stop. Then there's one on the corner of Buena Vista Dr and Hotel Plaza BLVD, right in front of the Suntrust Building (there's a little lynx sign), which is on the Marketplace side. Then there's a bus stop a little further down Hotel Plaza BLVD just outside of the last resort.
Then of course the other option is the TTC. Just get on a bus to the MK and ride the express monorail back to the TTC. Head out to the left and when you reach the bus area, go left again and it stops behind the Studios' bus.
