Does anyone know of transporation from Disney area to Sea World while staying on Disney properties?

You can take a taxi for about 30.00 each way. There is also Lynx which is the city bus and is under 2.00 each person. You can get on at the TTC or at DTD. Those are the only ways I know of other than renting a car. I'm not sure if Mears has a shuttle or not but that might be another option.

The pp was correct - here is some more datiled info - copied from another post I did.

Disney to Sea World:

1. The cheapest is by bus: Take #50 LYNX bus from TTC or Downtown Disney to Sea World
Click here to link to the LYNX schedule It leaves TTC at 1 minute and 31 minutes after the hour (running every 1/2 hour from 6:31 am - 12:01 am) and leaves DTD at 19 and 49 minutes after each hour. You can return at 10# and 40# after the hour from 5:40 am to 11:10 pm It is $2.00 each way for an adult and $1.00 for a child (young babies may be free).

2. You can arrange a Shuttle through Mears Transportation I think it should be $19 pp round trip

3. You can get a cab, Mears' fare estimator indicates it is about 10 miles from Epcot to Sea World with an estimated fare of $25 each way, so if you have 3 people, the cab is cheaper than the shuttle. When we did this, it was a tiny bit less. They have big cab vans which I think cost the same as the ones that look like yellow town cars.

4. You can also schedule a towncar for $37 each way

This link should get you to a PDF of their current prices

5. You can rent a car right at Disney for about $35 pd - check out Mousesavers for latest Coupons I considered that but I've never driven in Orlando before.

We took the bus. We wanted to depart from downtown disney because we could arrive there later, but Disney does not run busses there early in the morning. We lucked out because while we were waiting for a bus to the TTC to catch it, another bus stopped by and the CM said they were going for some weird reson to DTD so we had a private ride there! That was just luck though, it would have been fine to go from the TTC. There is a thread from last year (on the sea World board below) with a picture that shows you exactly where to go from the TTC to catch the LYNX bus. The LYNX busses are very nice, clean, uncrowded - at least when we went. There are a lot more stops than show on the schedule, but we just asked the driver to tell us when to get off and he was happy to do so. Then you just have to cross the parking lot. We did not mind taking the bus out there in the morning, but did not want to mess with it on the way home when we were hot and tired, so we took a cab. I briefly considered renting a car, but I enjoy not having to drive on vacation. If you enjoy driving, I know others say that it is easy to get around. Everything appears to be well marked, so I don't think it would be too difficult to navigate.

I hope this is helpful!:flower3:

both ways last year. We had a lovely breakfast at the Poly then walked to TTC (5 min). Any CM at TTC can and will direct you to the Lynx bus stop. It was quite easy (and cheap!). On the way home, we unfortunately ran into a faily good rain storm and the bus took a while showing up. We got off at DTD and, rain having stopped during the bus ride, spent a very pleasant night wandering around there. All in all, very convenient, pretty quick and very cheap. I'd definitely use Lynx again.

Hi there, I was so happy to find this thread. We have been trying to decide how to get from Disney to Seaworld and until now it looked like a taxi or shuttle...so expensive both ways. I noticed that you can purchase your tickets on the Lynx website. Has anyone done this or is it just as easy to use cash? TIA:goodvibes
