How far away is DLP from the City of Paris, and is the transportation such that you can feasibly use a stay at one of the Disney resorts (the places available via DVC, specifically) as a home base for a trip that included time touring in Paris? Is it as simple as hopping on a Metro train, or is it more of a hassle than that?

Thanks!

It's about 45 minutes by train. It's past the Metro system's reach, but it's right on the RER commuter rail system. The RER A line station "Marne-la-Vallée" is near the park entrance. From there it's about 45 mins to central Paris, costing about 7 euros. Trains run from about 5:30am to just past midnight.

As already said its really easy to get into Paris by RER - the trains run every 10 minutes or so so you never have to wait long. You can get a mobilis ticket which costs about 13Euros and gives you return trip to and from Paris and unlimited use of the metro while there.
However it might be an expensive way if you intend doing several days in Paris as if you are booking with DVC you need to buy tickets for the entire length of stay whether you intend using them or not

Good to know, that could definitely make a difference, because I'd be going primarily to go to Paris, notwithstanding that we'd certainly spend a couple days at the Disney parks.

Thanks
