Transportation to MK from BC

I know you can take a bus from BC to MK but I have a couple questions. Does the bus take you straight to MK or do you have to stop at the transportation & ticket center? Either way how long does it take to bus from BC to MK? Are there set times when the bus comes?

Also can we walk to Epcot and take the Monorail from Epcot to MK? I think I have read that you have to go to the TTC from Epcot and get on another Monorail line to go to Magic Kingdom. I know this seems like a hassel but I am looking for an alternative to riding the bus. If we did this how long would it take. How long is the walk from BC to Epcot?

Also can we walk to TTC from BC? Thanks for the help. I am just trying to plan everything out and want to have an idea of how long it takes to get there. Oh and we are going mid May if that makes any difference. Thanks!!

2- No.
3- Figure the road-time is about 12-15 minutes. (Not counting waiting for the bus and for it to load.
4- Nope. They run about every 10-20 minutes, starting at about 6:30 AM every day.
5- Yes, but you must have a park hopper ticket to enter both Epcot and MK on the same day.
(Plus, it's a long walk through Epcot to get to the buses. (See top Map below.)
6- Yes.
7- That's up to you, but I would just take the bus. Really would.
8- Figure about 45-75 minutes.
9- About 6-8 minutes.
10- Nope. (Many miles away, and no sidewalks. See bottom map: E-7 to M-4.)

You will be dropped off at the entrance to MK.

The actual ride is less than 30 minutes. Buses come about every 20 minutes. I would be at the bus stop 1 hour before you want tio be at the park, just to be safe.

You can, but you'll have to walk though Epcot to get to the monorail. You will need to have park hoppers.

It would be a major pain and will take quite a bit longer than taking the bus.

About 5 minutes.

I tried this once when I got tired of waiting for an MK bus. I will never do it again. It took much longer and didn't "seem" like a hassle - it WAS a hassle.

Remember too that you have to go through bag check at BOTH Epcot and MK - another delay in getting into the parks, aside from waiting for 2 monorails.

I guess that depends on what you mean by "worth" it. It's not efficient, but depending on your mood and energy level it can be more fun than taking the bus. We generally don't do it on the way to MK. Sometimes we like to walk through Epcot at night on the way back to BC to make a quick stop at SE or to catch Illuminations.

Definitely not worth it, if your goal is to get from BC to MK as fast as possible. Going through Epcot is a nice, leisurely way to travel from BC to MK (or vice versa), but it will take significantly longer than taking the direct bus.

It will take about 30 minutes to get from BC to the monorail stop at Epcot. Then you have to wait for the monorail, get off at the TTC, and wait for another monorail before finally getting to MK.

All told it will take 2 or 3 times longer than just taking the bus. You will also need to have park hoppers.

I am so glad I have this information. I would be very unhappy if I took that route without knowing how long it would take. I may do it on the way back from MK when we are not concerned with time. Thanks everyone!!!!

Thanks everyone for your responses.....a couple other questions.....can you walk to DHS from BC? How long is the walk? How long is the boat ride from BC to DHS? How long is the walk from BC to the shops on the Boardwalk? Is there any good places to eat here? Are they on the DDP plan? Thanks!!

2- 20-30 minutes.

3- When the Friendship boats are operating from the Beach Club Dock
(which is currently closed for refurb) the actual ride-time takes about 20-25 minutes.

4- About 5-10 minutes.

5- Others can make specific recommendations,
I'll just show you the layout of what's there.

The boats are still running.
They just don't stop at the Yacht/Beach Club dock because
that dock is being refurbed.
The boats still operate and stop by all of the other docks.

I don't know when the Yacht/Beach Club dock will reopen.

We always take the bus from BC to MK, but often our family will return to the resort via the monorail and walk through EPCOT on our way back. We love the monorail ride, and enjoy an attraction or two along the way (Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land).
