Well I managed to get a 7:30am ADR at Kona. Epcot opens at 8:00am that morning. Will the buses run between 6:30-7:00am that morning then? Our plan is to take the bus to Epcot then monorail to Poly. Has anyone else done an ADR that early from another resort?:confused3 Or should we just plan on a cab? I really don't want to spend the money if we don't have to though.

Buses start at 6:30 and run about every half hour until an hour before park opening - when they adopt the much more frequent 'about every 20 minutes' schedule.

Take the bus to MK and the resort monorail to the Poly. Be at the bus stop at 6:30.

Or take a cab.

I'd make sure MK is open by 8 AM. If so, take the bus there and then boat, rather than monorail over to Poly. That'll be a time-saver to Poly, because the boat stops less than the monorail does en route to the Poly. Once done with Kona, ride the monorail back to TTC, since that would be faster than the boat at that point on the resort monorail line. It could be that boats aren't operating that early, so be prepared to take the resort monorail over to Poly from MK.

To get from EPCOT to the Poly, you have to ride a monorail to the TTC and then transfer to the resort monorail, or walk to the Poly from the TTC. This is likely to be a longer trip than making MK your transfer point.

You can still use MK as a transfer point even if it opens at 9:00.

True, but I meant it in re using the boats. While the resort monorail might be in operation, I think the boats start later than the resort monorail.

Take the bus at 6:30 to Poly. There is a bus, I think it says Magic Kingdom. Ask the driver if he stops at Polynesian for the Ohana character breakfast. That is how we did it a few years ago(to get to Ohana).

I was also wondering something along the same lines. We have a 7.30 adr at ohana in June. But the magic kingdom doesn't open till 9am on that day, will we be able to do the same as OP, and get a bus at 6.30 from our resort at okw then get either the ferry or monorail? If not how long would.it take us to walk from the ttc to the poly?
Thanks.

Sounds like your situation is almost exactly the same as OP. If you need to walk from TTC to the Poly, it's about 10 minutes at a medium pace. Not a bad walk at all. The walkway is on the left side of the TTC (as you face the TTC). I think there's a sign there that says "To Polynesian", but you'll also know you're on the right pathway when you see the transition to red bricks.

Buses to all parks start at 6:30 everyday.

Buses start running to the MK by at least 6:30, every morning. They do tend to run less frequently until about an hour or so prior to park opening. The resort monorail makes it's first run around 7am.
For an ADR at Kona at 7:30, be out at the MK bus stop by 6:30. Then, ask the driver, when you get on the bus, if it's faster to take the boat or the monorail over to the Polynesian. He/she may just offer to drop you off at the Polynesian on his way out of the MK area. If the offer isn't made, head to the monorail platform.
If you want to take the bus to Epcot, fine. But again, be out by no later than 6:30..it could be tight. If you get on the first bus, you should be okay. But if you are still standing there, waiting for the Epcot bus at 6:50? Take the MK bus.

Using taxis to get to early morning ADRs saves you over 30 minutes of precious sleep time. For my family, that extra sleep (and lack of stressing over will a bus show up, or did we just miss it) is well worth the $20.

Using Disney transportation to get to your meal you need to be at the bus stop 60 minutes before your meal time. At the stop, not walking to the stop, not thinking about going to the stop. At the bus stop. Where you may have just missed the bus and have no way of knowing when the next one will come by.

With a taxi you just hop in and are on your way.

Agree 100%. This is one of those *investments* where time is money, and the amount of stress you save is also worth $. We are careful with our budget at WDW, but we do factor in a couple of taxis for early morning breakfast ADRs for precisely these reasons....
