Help, please! My family (7 adults and 1 child) is headed to Disney in September. We're driving from Georgia and will arrive around 1 p.m. I have a reservation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at 3:15 and dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney at 5:30.

How should we get there from the Caribbean Beach Resort? Should we just drive over or take a bus? I thought we could just drive from our resort and easily find a parking spot, but the more I read, it appears that Downtown Disney isn't easy to get into. Is parking that limited? Is there a surface lot or deck right there at the Marketplace or do you have to park near the Cirque du Soleil? Is it easy to walk between the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Rainforest Cafe?

Thanks so much for the help! I haven't been to Disney World in 20 years!

Parking at DD can get crazy, but not all the time. The parking area(s) are big and are adjacent to each of the sections (Marketplace, where Rainforest Cafe and The Disney Store are; Pleasure Island / Planet Hollywood; and the West Side). We've usually found the weekends to be busiest, even in quieter seasons. The Marketplace can get busy all day and eve, and that parking area seems a little tighter. (West Side never seems to be too busy in the afternoon)

So, no, you won't have to park over by Cirque, which is the opposite end, and ~ a 15-20 minute walk. My guess is that September isn't as busy ....... but business has really picked up at WDW and they're offering free dining then, so who can really predict.

The bus stops at the Marketplace, within 5 minutes walk of RC and 6-7 minutes of the Disney Store...... at most. It's only a 5 minute walk between them. (I haven't paid any attention to the BBB, but I thought it was in the Disney Store. If it's not, then I'm giving you some incorrect info.)

It's sort of a toss-up whether to drive or bus it. Could be a wait for the bus. If it's your first time there, it could be nice to just get on a bus and get delivered to DD, without any stress of trying to figure out the roads. Caribbean Beach is really close and pretty easy to navigate from there to DD.

Hope you have a great trip1

If you drive your car to Downtown Disney Marketplace and are having a hard time finding a Parking space, then you may want to try parking at the Castting Building which is directly accross the street from the World of Disney store. You will have to cross Buena Vista Drive but there are Cross Walk Signals to get you there safely. :happytv:

It's a pretty huge lot, and every time we have been there, before 5:00 or so, there have been plenty of parking spots. You should be fine if you decide to drive. Me? I would take the bus, but I actually enjoy the buses at WDW...very hassle free.
