Transportation to Church?

We will be at WL without a car. Has anyone taken a cab recently to the Catholic Church Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine? How much was it? Do we just mention at Guest Services that we need a ride to church and will they call for a taxi? Thanks for your help.

I read recently that Mears offers shuttle service to all the Masses except (I think) for the Sunday 9:30am Mass. If you want a cab they are normally waiting outside all WDW resorts. If one is not there a Cast Member will get one for you right away. After Mass taxis are waiting the take people back to WDW. Depending on where you are staying I can't imagine the fare being more than $10-$12 dollars since Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine is so close to WDW.

Thanks for the info. DH wondered about taxi back so thank you for letting us know about the taxis outside the church waiting after Mass.

Just wanted to add that you can tell your driver you need a ride back. It's very likely that the driver will wait for you and take you back to WDW. We took a taxi in June to Holy Family Church in Orlando. The driver waited in the parking lot for us. We would have gone to Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine had we known that Holy Family was so far away. We liked the idea of a Saturday evening 5pm Mass so we went there. Very nice Church, but too far from WDW to make it convenient.
The taxi drivers are really hurting because of the Disney Magical Express so they will go out of their way to accommodate you.

Do the taxis have car seats? We will be traveling with a 13 month old.
