Transportation Question

But, what if none of those situations occur? What time do they shut down the parking lot at AK?? I know that they continue running buses 'from' AK until there are no guests eating at Rainforest Cafe, but wasn't sure how this would translate to someone needing to get back to AK from another park.
Well, it's been a few years since I drove nights, but I remember being assigned to the DAK-DHS shuttle, and literally driving an empty bus back and forth until DHS was nearly clear, at which time DHS bus operations starts combining resorts into zones, and sending buses out only when there are guests to carry.

Epcot works a bit differently. As of a few months ago, at park closing the DAK bus merges into the AKL bus, to allow for separate POR & POFQ buses to handle the closing crowds. I'm pretty sure this hasn't changed significantly in the past few months. When the park is nearly clear, buses are sent out as needed to get guests home.

The DAK parking entrance may close overnight, but there is no barrier on the lot exit. I have encountered guests arriving from TTC and walking to their cars when I was parking a bus at DAK after midnight.

Well then...thanks for that info. You learn something new every day!!!!
