We are staying at POR. One night we're having dinner at Raglan Road (DTD.) We should have time to go to Epcot to see Illuminations. What we'd like to do is take a bus from DTD to the BC and walk in the Gateway. We're thinking of staying at the BC for the Food and Wine festival and this is the only time I see during our trip to get a look at it.

Here's my question, ideally we'd like to return via a similar route. Back to DTD and boat to POR. I know this will take longer but it will spare my elderly mom a long walk from the back to the front of Epcot after Illuminations. Is this possible? Will we be able to get a bus from BC to DTD at that hour and a boat from DTD to POR at that hour? Or could we get a boat from the gateway to MGM at that hour and then to DTD?

Thanks

Yes you can get a bus from BC - DTD at that hour.

DTD - POR depends on the hr. Boats run until 11pm. So if its before then, you'll be fine, otherwise you'll need to grab the POR bus from DTD. still not bad option.

You may want to consider a taxi from the Beach Club. All Disney resorts have taxis waiting for fares. Just walk through the BC lobby and out the main entrance. If one is not waiting the Cast Member on duty outside will get one for you right away. Quick and easy. Especially after a long day at the parks.

Something you else you might want to try is instead of walking from the BC to Epcot take the boat from BC to Epcot and you could do the same to get back to the BC. From there either take the bus to DTD or get a taxi.
