Transportation from Disney to Universal?

Hi everyone! What is the cheapest/fastest way to get to Universal from a Disney property hotel? I'm not sure how any of the shuttles work (if there even are any) or how much a cab costs? Let me know! Thanks!

I am taking the Mears shuttle from Caribbean beach to Universal. It is $18 per person (not sure if kids are cheaper) and you book the day before you want to go. You call them from the park 2 hours prior from when you want to be picked up.

Children 4-11 is about $6 cheaper than adults and 12 and up are the same price as adults and you have to call them 24 hours in advance not 2 hours

No, you call them 2 hours from when you want to be picked up from the PARK to go back to the disney resort hotel. Like I said, you call the day before to make the reservation to go to universal

No they will pick you up at your hotel and take you back there

that depends on how many in your group.

a taxi could cost up to $35-40 one way.

you can change this site to show costs from disney to universal or between the disney parks also.


i prefer car service as you are not paying but a set rate you know in advance plus tip. you are the only passenger with them.
you are not stopping at other sites to pick up additional people.

with taxis, mears, for travel from airport to hotel resort, you can get an estimated cost for that one way trip.
if you travel and run into traffic jams or tie ups, you would pay more.

many taxis charge by the distance you travel and time in the cab.
also, some charge for additional passengers over 2 in the car.
