Transportation for Golf

We are staying at GF in late August/early September. We want to golf Oak Ridge (the 9-hole course). Does anybody know how far it is from Poly, i.e. is it within walking distance?

I understand that Disney will provide taxi vouchers for golf. Would there be a problem with getting a voucher from BC, where we will be having lunch that day?

Don't know about getting a voucher from another resort, but DH has never had problems getting picked up from WL and being brought back via taxi. It's a great service. Why not explain to the front desk at the resort that you'll be staying at and I bet they can arrange a voucher to be picked up at the resort you're having lunch at.

Oak Ridge is not within walking distance of the Poly unless you like a long walk. It is located near Shades of Green.
Can't give you an answer on the BC question. My husband is an avid golfer who has played every Disney course including Oak Ridge. He also used the taxi voucher system and never had a problem. You might want to check at the Poly to see if they will give you a voucher with the understanding that you will be picked up at the BC and returned to the Poly.
BTW, if you are bringing your own clubs most of the deluxe resorts like the Poly, provide club storage with the Bell Services. You just call them ahead of time and your clubs will be waiting for you near the Bell Captain's podium. No need to lug them back and forth from your room.

As long as you have a valid room key, it shouldn't be a problem. It's the golf courses themselves that pay for the transportation, so it really doesn't matter if you get the voucher at Pop or Beach Club.

My DH and DS are planning to play every afternoon of our vacation using the Summer Special pass. I think that I read somewhere that their golf clubs could be transported to the next golf course on the agenda by the staff. Does anyone have information on this? If this is true, it would be easy to take transportation to or from different location. Did anyone find out if the taxis will go to a location other than the hotel that one is staying in?

In Feb the person at the pro shop just asked which resort I wanted to go to. They didn't ask if that was my resort or not. I am sure I could have said anything.

I am sure you could go to any Disney resort. I don't believe they would take you to a theme park however.
