Ok :goodvibes I am hoping some of you seasoned monorail resort goers can help me understand the transportation staying on the monorail loop.
We are staying at the POLY in FEB. Can you please explain the transportation to the parks?
Am I correct in the following?

In the morning, To get to MK, my best/most reliable bet is to use the ferry from the POLY?
(as monorail is sometimes inconsistant/iffy in the AM runs to the park)?

The ferry from MK is often one of the most efficient ways to return to my resort after Wishes?

The monorail that goes to EPCOT must be caught at the TTC (not directly at POLY) ?

The AK and DHS I have to catch a bus either at TTC or the front of the POLY?

The resort monorail only goes from MK/or EPCOT directly back to the resorts?

Thanks for clarification on the monorail loop. :)

The ferry most likely will not run until 9:00 a.m. You will be better served to take the monorail from the Great Ceremonial House to MK.

The ferry from MK is often one of the most efficient ways to return to my resort after Wishes?

That really depends upon the crowd levels. Remember, others not staying at the Polynesian (or even on property for that matter) will be using the ferry and/or express monorail to return to the TTC. At the end of Wishes, I would take the resort monorail or launch (if not too crowded) to return to the Polynesian.

The monorail that goes to EPCOT must be caught at the TTC (not directly at POLY) ?

You are free (and it is indeed faster) to walk directly to the TTC to catch the EPCOT monorail. You may (although slower) board the resort monorail at the Polynesian and ride it to TTC. You will have to change monorails at the TTC to board the EPCOT monorail.

The AK and DHS I have to catch a bus either at TTC or the front of the POLY?

Correct. We have found the AK bus at TTC to be faster than the bus from the Polynesian since it does not have to stop at another resort OR Blizzard Beach.

The DHS bus could also be faster at times and also is a direct drive to the Studios. The TTC bus from DHS is also a good option when returning from DHS to the Polynesian.

The resort monorail only goes from MK/or EPCOT directly back to the resorts?

The resort monorail only travels between TTC, Polynesian, GF, MK, and Contemporary. EPCOT monorail travels only to and from EPCOT to TTC. You must board a different monorail, i.e., the resort monorail to get to the resorts or MK. Staying at the Polynesian allows you to walk from the EPCOT monorail (or express monorail) from TTC to the resort.

Thanks for clarification on the monorail loop. :)

Hope those answers are of help to you in planning.

There are three monorail loops.....TTC to Epcot, Resort loop which runs clockwise, stopping at TTC, Polynesian, GF, MK, CR and back to TTC, and the Express loop, runs counter clockwise between TTC and MK only.
If you need to get to Epcot from the Polynesian, it is quickest to walk over to the TTC, via the pathway that is well marked, and then hop on the Epcot line.
When heading to MK, I usually take the monorail. Why? Simply because the CR people are walking to the MK, not monorailing, so you only have those at the TTC getting on and there just aren't that many people there. It's very quick to do this. Yes, there can be issues, but that just doesn't happen all that much despite what you may see here.
The boat is a fun way to get between MK and Polynesian. When it leaves the Polynesian, it goes directly to the MK. On the way back from the MK, it does stop at the GF first.
We never walked over to the TTC to get the buses to either DHS or AK, but it is certainly doable. From what I now understand, it is sometimes a lot quicker than waiting for the buses at the Polynesian.
