We are staying at AKL, we have ressies at Poly and Chef Mickeys. How will we get to and from each? Thanks

Easiest way is to take a bus to the MK, then the monorail to the Poly or Contemporary, or you can walk from MK to Contemporary.

Going from resort to resort, you can just take a bus to a theme park or Down town Disney and transfer to a bus to the resort you are going, but its important you make sure the park you go to offers transportation to the other resort. Epcot does not offer bus transportation to Beach Club/YachtClub/Boardwalk Resorts and HS only offers boat or foot transportation to those resorts. Other than that, you should be ok transferring at a park.

You can take a bus to the MK. From there, you can take the resort monorail to either resort. Or you can take one of the resort boats to your destination. You can also walk to the CR from the MK.

Or if you're in a hurry and don't want to be bothered with making connections, you can take a cab. It cost me about $20 with tip to go from SSR to the GF. I would guess that AKL to the MK resorts would be the same or just a little less.

I have found that the quickest and easiest way to travel between resorts is via taxi. Especially when trying to make an ADR. Sometimes going from your resort to a park then from park to another resort via Disney Transportation can be iffy. You just have too many chances for delays along the way.

The easiest & fastest way is to just take a cab. Bell services at the front of the resort will get one for you. We've done this many times and it's less than $20. After having many nightmare experiences with the buses trying to make an ADR we just don't take any chances anymore. Going back to the resort I would take the monorail to the MK & then a bus to AKL.

Thanks for all the info. We cant do a cab because we will not have a car seat for the baby. I think the best for us will be go to Mk and take the monorail.

There is also a sticky at the top of the transportation board that has a great deal of detail how to get from point B to point B.

The cabs have car seats and/or a booster seat! When you have bell services call a cab for you you just need to inform them you need a car seat.

A friend brought up a good point, to think about staying at the All Star that gets the bus FIRST. This way you're not standing when it hits the last stop...does anyone know the order in which the FIRST bus hits (which hotel FIRST?) She stayed at the Coronado, and it was the first stop of her particular route... Thx!

If a bus is servicing ALL resorts they would typically take them in order: Sports -> Music -> Movies. During "rush hour," however, the resorts are often serviced by direct buses.

right before you leave check with transportation board and make sure that the parks are running buses as scheduled (every 20 minutes or less)
and no construction is taking place in the bus areas of all the parks.

then you take a bus to AK (closed park to you) and then take a bus to the CR or Polyn. Or you can take whatever bus comes first to your stop and take it.

now if you are talking early morning - then you must take the character bus that runs early. (like if you reservation is before 8:30am) - the buses for the parks don't start until 8:00am. the character bus coms at 6:45am I think.

In 2010, we stayed at ASMu and had an ADR to Chef Mickeys for 7:15AM. We talked to the front desk and they told us just to go to bus stop. Low and Behold a MK bus showed up. The driver asked us and another family where we were going. We said Chef Mickeys and they said Crystal Palace. He went directly to the Contemporary and dropped us off and then headed to the MK bus stop. No stop at TTC for either of us. It was easy-peasy just ask the front desk of your resort.

that only works with a CM that knows about the early schedule. Otherwise they will tell you that the bus does not start until an hour before the parks opens. You might be surprised at how many CM that work at the front desk don't know this fact.

I did not know this. Thank you for this info, this definatly might be something to try!!
