Transportation at AKL?

How is the transportation at AKL? We would be spending about 1/2 of our time at the parks and about 1/2 of our time at the resort. We would mainly be visiting Epcot and AK, so how is the transportation to those places?

There are goods and bads about transportation at AKL.

Goods: one stop at resort (not multiple like some of the moderate resorts), and the busses come fairly often.

Bads: AKL is farther away that other resorts so time on the bus is longer.

DH and I stayed at AKL for the first time in January and thought it was a great resort. There's a lot of stuff to do at AKL and ,of course, fabulous dining. Try to do the night vision goggles on the savannah one night - it's super cool!

I think the transportation is fantastic there. No long waits for buses, they were never crammed full of people, and they don't share with other resorts. We had very, very good experiences with the bus transportation at AKL. In fact, it was one of the reasons I wanted to stay there last time.

We stayed in March 2007, so that said...AK buses seemed to come OFTEN. No problems back and forth there. Not much to add on the Epcot buses...but while I was waiting for MK, they seemed to come fine enough.

We stayed this past June and found the transportation to be wonderful! Timely, no long waits, helpful and friendly. One thing that we really loved is when us passengers were soaked from a sudden downpour and were heading back to the hotel, the driver was kind enough to turn off the air conditioning and just leave the air gently circulating---It was nice not to freeze!
