I have been wondering this while planning my up and coming trip to WDW in June. Just where can I go on a bus after a trip to the Richard Petty Riding Experience? We will be doing the Riding Experience in the morning, and I am wondering can I get a bus to go directly to any or all of these places. Wilderness Lodge? Downtown Disney? Typhoon Lagoon? Blizzard Beach? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks

My husband did the RPDE in December. They provide a shuttle from the TTC to the track and back, he said it picks up and drops off by the kennel. From there you take a bus/boat/tram to your destination.

I know about the pickup at the Transportation and Ticket Center that takes you to the Richard Petty Riding Experience. I do not know however if we can go directly to the Wilderness Lodge, Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon, or the Blizzard Beach Waterpark. These are possible destinations after we experience Richard Petty. The answer to this specific question will help me greatly in my itinerary planning. My only experience with Transportation and Ticket Center was changing monorails. I have never taken a bus from there. Thanks again for any and all replies.

There is a bus from the TTC to the Wilderness Lodge.

I don't know about the others but I don't think so??? However, you can make the short walk to the Polynesian and catch a bus to DTD, BB or TL from there.

HopefullyTyler or Ed will be along to help you out.

From the Transportation & Ticket Center you have the following transportation options:

Bus to Disney-MGM Studios
Bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom
Monorail to Magic Kingdom
Monorail to Epcot
Walk to Polynesian to catch bus to Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach.

Mentioned in the same sentance with Tyler. :cool2: (maybe I'm not the right Ed  ) ;)

There is no longer a bus from the TTC to WL. The bus goes from the WL to the MK (just like all the other resort busses). So, to get to the WL afterwards, you can take the monorail to MK and either catch the bus or boat to WL.

Read about that change to the Wilderness Lodge after Im posted my question. Did not think about the short walk over to the Poly. In fact it might be a nce idea to pop in there for a meal, if time permits. Now thinking we might be going to spend the afternoon at Downtown Disney. Thanks again

Of course I meant you, Ed! :sunny:

And...duh! I had read Tyler's report of the demise of the FW/WL/TTC route and just had a brian cramp, I guess. I'm in denial...I liked that route for easy and fast transportation to the Hoop when we stay at the Polynesian.

Tyler.....of course it is a good thing! :goodvibes

Just an FYI...

One hour after the MK closes, the bus will reconnect with the TTC.
Also, after the 7:30 and 9:30 Hoop shows, there will be direct buses back to the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian, as well as all the other Disney resorts.

It's a good thing for me.

But for you, I would guess that's another story. ;)

Tyler, Thanks for mentioning that switch back to the TTC after MK closes. I missed that point in the original thread.

Ed

LOL, that's because I never mentioned it. It was an afterthought in the test, and wasn't put in the original information they gave out. And since the MK has been closing at 11 or midnight recently, I never really thought about it either.
