Transport to Universal Hollywood and back

We are staying at Hilton Garden Inn's El Segundo location, which from what i am reading is 15 miles from Universal. I heard that there is a monorail stop right next to the hotel. Does anyone know by chance if there is a stop at Universal? Although I know off the monorail, I've never used it - does it run 24hours? I haven't contacted the hotel to see if they have a shuttle service to Universal, but I am going to assume they don't. How do you guys think I should go about for transportation to Universal?
