Transport from downtown disney

as we will be in downtown disney over the christmas period and have no children we plan to ps many meals over the course of our vacation and enjoy fine food and wines so driving is out of the question...any tips for using the transport here...and with regard to the parks we were in france dlp last year and it was extremely efficient over the christmas period running from very early in the morning allowing us to get into the parks very early...we are staying at the holiday inn in downton disney any ideas what time the first buses will leave for the various parks and is it more efficient to pick it up from your hotel or from the terminus in downton disney i would hate to be stood watching buses by pass the hotel at the busiest time of the year because they are full...

The buses at DTD don't go directly to the parks. To get to the theme parks from DTD you would first have to go to a WDW resort then transfer to a park bus.

If you would be using the hotel transportation that is not WDW buses and they probably don't run as often but you could pick it up at the front door of the hotel.

Well, the first thing you need to know is that there are no busses to/from DTD and the theme parks. The busses that run to DTD essentially go to the WDW resorts. So, if you want to use the busses at DTD you need to go to a resort first and then take a theme park bus. Since you are staying "offsite", you will need to rely on the hotel bus to get you to the parks early.

Once you are at a theme park, there is Disney transportation that runs between the parks so you can "park hop".

If you are planning to eat at the resorts, there are busses to DTD to about 2 AM. You can walk to your hotel from there.

Another option is to take a taxi back to the hotel after you meals.

Even though you are staying on Disney property, Disney busses do not service the holiday inn. It has its own bus service.

Good morning. I've stayed at the Grosvenor which is across the street from Holiday Inn so let me see if I can help. You are staying on WDW property but this area is served by a different bus service, it has coach busses that don't run as frequently as disneys do. Here is a website I found that references travel options from your hotel.

I think you should contact your resort after reading and getting a better understanding of the transportation you have. Confirm the info from the website and ask any other ?'s so that you have the correct info. to plan your stay.
