Transferring races

Does anyone know how the transfer process works for Marathon weekend? I may need to switch from Goofy to the half. Here's what the website says:

Cancellation & Transfer Policy
Entry fees for the 2013 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend events are non-refundable. The transfer deadline for all events is December 1, 2012. No exceptions will be made.
If you are currently registered for the 2013 Walt Disney World® Half Marathon, Walt Disney World® Marathon or Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge, you may transfer your registration to one of the other two races, subject to availability, on or before December 1, 2012. A transfer fee of $25 will be charged per transfer. Transfers are not allowed for the Disney Family Fun Run 5K featuring or runDisney Kids' Races events. Race entries cannot be transferred to another person.

Goofy cost $320 when I signed up, while the half would cost $170/$190 when I make the switch. So would I end up paying extra on top of Goofy cost ($345--why bother??), or would I get money back from the difference (minus the transfer fee, cost of $195/$215 and get back $125/$105)? Anybody know?

but it doesn't even show switching from Goofy to Half option, though it mentions refunding previous race cost (minus the transfer fee). hmm
