Transferring Points

Yup, yet another transferring points question...

We will be sharing a villa with friends who are also members. They are going to transfer half of the needed points into our account. They have a Feb. use year and we have an Oct. use year. Do their transferred points retain their use year and home resort, or do they change to our use year and home resort?

One possible gotcha is that transferred points cannot be borrowed. So make sure that the points they transfer to you are from a UY that will start prior to your reservation, say a Feb 09 UY for a June 09 booking, but not a Feb 09 UY for a Jan 09 reservation. -- Suzanne
