The point transfer glitch is another thing you need to consider. In theory the points transferred to you should maintain the home resort status of the person who transferred you the points. Example: I own BCV and you own SSR. I transfer you my BCV points, those points should still be BCV points thus giving you the 11 month booking advantage at BCV. Problem is MS only can track this manually, there is nothing in there system at this point to keep track of where the points came from. This can hurt you or help you depending on what you are trying to do. I transfer points into my small BCV account and then use those points to book BCV at 11 months. This works to my advantage. Now if I transferred BCV into my SSR account and wanted to book BCV at 11 months it may take a little more work to get MS to realize they were in fact BCV points that were transferred. Get the name of the MS agent you deal with and bend there ear a little if you need those points to maintain there status. Good luck with your transfer.
