I have two separate contracts with two separate use years. One Dec the other Feb.

I think the rule is one transfer in a calendar year is that correct?

I just did a point transfer of the Dec points to another member.

However is the rule one transfer per contract or one transfer per member?

In other words can I do another transfer with the Feb use year?

Thanks

Ed

I also have two separate use years. The rule is one transfer per member per use year but I believe that is construed to mean for a member with two different use years and thus two member numbers that you are entitled to one transfer per separate use year and thus you can still make one for the Feb use year. I have not actually done it but I have transfered points from one contract use year to the other contract use year and that itself would not be proper if I could do only one transfer (in or out) in total, i.e, what I did was a transfer out of one use year and a transfer in to the other at the same time.

It is 1 transfer in or out. So you already did an out on one of your contracts. You could not transfer to yourself, as 1 of the contracts is already "used" for the transfer.
... Note it is UY not calander year, so if you transferred say 2010 points in Dec, you are clear to transfer your 2011 points.

Any way if you transferred 2010 points you are golden, if you are tfr 2011. If you are looking to transfer 2010 points you are toast.

As far as I know, your two different use years (Feb & Dec) will be treated as two different people. So if you are looking to transfer the Feb UY points to another member, you can do that. If you were dealing with a main contract plus add-ons with the same uy month, then it would only be one transfer per (use) year.

The policy is one transfer per Use Year per membership so you can still transfer to/from the February contract. Those with one membership with multiple contracts are limited to the one transfer but those with mutiple Use Years (and thus multiple memberships) are able to transfer once from each membership.

Transfers are per UY , in or out, per membership. Since you have two UY's, you have two memberships.

Each one can have its own transfer in or out. So, if you transferred 2010 UY points in December, then that contract can still transfer or get 2011 UY points.

The other contract can get or transfer both 2010 or 2011 UY points.

I usually transfer from my Dec UY to my Sept UY every year. So that uses up my one in or out per year for both of them. Even MS has told me that when I did it last time.

I urge you to call Member Services and get the info as it relates directly to your own situation. While making a reservation today, I was allowed to transfer in 2010 points from more than one account. The Cast Member simply asked me if my name was on the title for all contracts involved, and then he made the transfers. All of the transfers are showing up correctly on my various online activity reports and I was able to book with the points, so apparently this is now allowed.
