Transferring points -- whose "home"?

If I transfer (read: buy) points from a member into my account, are all those points my "home"? Or do those particular points stay with their home? I'm asking because I'm not sure how many would apply at 11 months vs 7 months. I hope this question makes sense. I saw a thread mentioning that people sometimes transfer equal points back and forth for a home advantage.

those particular points stay with their home.

if you own at BLT and transfer in SSR pts, you would have access to BLT at 11 months only with BLT pts and access to SSR/THV at 11 months only with the transferred SSR pts. at 7 months, you can combine them together.

BTW, the same goes for UY. transferred pts maintain their old UY.

Transferred points retain their original home resort and Use Year.

So if you need to "get " points to finish a reservation at 11 months ,You would have to get the same resort points as your original home points ???

if you own at BLT and want to reserve BLT at 11 months but need more pts to complete that reservation, then yes, you would need a transfer of BLT pts.
