Transferring points to my other contract?

I have two different UYs, Dec & Mar. Could I transfer my Dec points to my Mar UY contract? How about the other way around?

In case I transfer points but can't use all of them, what are the banking restrictions on transferred points?

Yes, Transferred points may be banked. Banked or Borrowed points cannot be transferred, but transferred points may be banked.

You could have one transfer between your 2 accounts per Use Year - the one transfer would use up your allowed transfer for each account.

That's what I thought, but wasn't 100% sure.

Now another question, If I were to transfer March "08 points into my Dec UY account, would they be '08 points or current UY points (for Dec, it's still '07)?

On the other hand if I transferred my current (Dec '07) points into my Mar account would they have my Mar '08 use date (through Feb '09)?

And currently, if you miss the banking deadline, you could transfer them then bank them.

Transferred points retain both their original use year and home resort. So if you transferred your March '08 points into your Dec UY account, they would remain as March '08 points. Likewise, transferred Dec '07 points would retain their Dec '07 use year dates.

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish. The only thing transferring points between your two accounts would be that you could combine them at 7-months to make a reservation.

Your Dec points go Dec 2007 through Nov 2008. Your Mar UY points go Mar 2008 through Feb 28, 2009. The overlap period is Mar 1, 2008 through Nov 30, 2008, so that is the only time period where you could combine points to make a reservation.

Yes that helps. The reason I ask is say I need to reserve a unit for 75 points, but I only have 70 points left in one contract and 60 points in the other. I assume I would need to transfer points from one to the other to get the 75 needed for that day. I guess I needed some clarity on what happened to the points once transferred in order to determine if it would be better to just transfer all the points from one contract to the other instead of just the few needed to book a certain unit/day.

If both contracts have bankable points, reserve some days with one contract and other days with the other contract then link the two reservations together. Then you can bank any remaining points if you like. If one set of points is not bankable but the other is, I might borrow the 5-15 points rather than do the transfer.
