Transferring points question

Hi all! My neighbor is short on points and I was thinking I could transfer some of mine to her. We have some banked 14 points and our 15 points. Can I transfer banked points? We both have AKL as home resort, but different use years. Her trip will not be till October so no rush right now.

you cannot transfer banked pts. (or borrowed pts.) only current pts.

once you transfer pts to her, those pts can be banked (but not borrowed).

as long as your current (2015) pts can be used for a stay in Oct (i.e. not Dec UY), then that should work fine.

Ok so just to make sure I understand this. If my mom and I have June use years and she has 2015 points that I need for the last two nights of our 2014 use year I should not have her transfer them to me because then I couldn't use them on May 30-31 2015.

I should instead have her book my first two nights by borrowing her points and then go ahead and book my next nights with my borrowed 2016 points? And then I can just have DVC link the reservations so I don't have to switch rooms?

right. book the same room type and ask MS to link that reservation with yours.
