Transferring Disney Rewards...question

We are going to Disney October 26-Nov 6. When should I request my rewards card? I thought it said that it takes about 3 weeks to get the rewards card in the mail....and how long are the rewards good for on the card? I just don't want them to be expired by the time I go!

The card expires in Dec of the following year. So if you request your card now for your trip next month you will be fine.

Hint: Order the card with only 20 rewards dollars. If you were to transfer it all right now, you may not be able to take advantage of the rewards dollars that you earn between now and your next two statements. Chase requires that you transfer a minimum of 10 rewards dollars each time you make a transfer. If you transfer it all now and earn 8 rewards dollars between now and your trip, you will not be able to use those 8 rewards dollars.

I requested a rewards card last week and got it yesterday, and wanted to make sure we had in time for our trip next month. I'm hoping to add one more month's points to the card before we go since I think my statement closes mid-month.

Even if the points post while you are at Disney you can call the 800# on the back and transfer the points over the phone.

It took 2 weeks for my card to come. I'll only transferred $20.00 too--just in case it got lost in the mail--I'm planning on transferring my rewards just before we leave to take advantage of the last billing statement. Good luck!! Enjoy those rewards.

I only have $54 available, so I can transfer it all? If I only do the $20 and get the card how long does it take to transfer the rest? My closing date is the 3rd of the month and we leave the 26th. But it will probably only have another $1, so not sure if I am worried about that! But you never know!
