Transfer??

I closed in Jan 07 and my use year was April. I had some points in holding and a few more before the new use year.

Before April, I transfered points into my account. Does the one transfer a year mean Jan/Jan or use year? Can I take a new transfer of points into this year if my other transfer was before April?

The rules are one transfer (in or out) per use year. Not calendar year.

So since it was before the year end, April, I can now take a transfer! Yeah, I get to buy points. I just love staying at OKW in a 1br. After having a 1 br the studio is still nice but I love the room.

We are hoping to figure out how many points we will really need after our first year. This year we got a 2 br because of the nannies so it was not a realistic points use for our family. I hope to figure it out.

Any suggestions to figure out how many points are realistic?

April...I'm glad that the transfer thing worked out for you!

As for how many points are enough, that question just moved past "what is the meaning of life?" in popularity here on the DIS Boards.

You know you want a 1BR, so actually all you need to do is figure out how many days you want to spend at OKW each year and what time of year. Then you can just do an add-on for the difference between what you own and what you need.

We tend to agree with you wholeheartedly about the 1BR vs the Studio. But that's because we look at DVC as a vacation upgrade rather than a savings mechanism. Either way, it is a very good program for many people, and I hope you continue to enjoy it.

I can see it being right there next to "the meaning of life"? But last evening I did put in two vacations at two different times of the year, a week long, over the weekend and I did find that I need 224 points. I am 34 short and after I pay off the last 5K of my first purchase I will buy these direct from Disney.

For now I need to find a transfer.

Now, what is the meaning of life?
