Won't sky rocking hotel rates reduce some of the problems you are mentioning? They absolutely will, but I'm not looking forward to their rates skyrocketing, especially at Tropicana and Desert Inn and Suites. They get some really trashy people there. I've stayed at both in the last three years, and the cops were called at both places due to people fighting. At Tropicana back in 2024, some young mother 3 doors down from me is outside screaming her head off at a car that was shining lights right in their room.F this, F that, how dare you wake my baby up...Oh,but it was okay for her to wake the entire motel. This was at 11pm that night. Rather than ask the person nicely to shut their lights, she chose to start a screaming match. People like her are trash. ETA: The vast majority of people that stay here are nice, good people and other than the few bad apples, I like both places.
I know you already have a hotel picked out but wanted to mention that Hyatt Regency Orange County is very nice and they have a designated shuttle that runs every half an hour. It costs $6 per person per day and I think it's a 10 minute ride. They have alot of suite options.
Yes that is my understanding as well. When ART shuts down I'm guessing more people along Harbor will use the OCTA #43 bus. Although that bus won't accommodate a large number of scooters or strollers. No ART does not run to LA

I'm not sure, but you could call and ask. That would be so convenient for you.I wonder if they will allow neighboring hotels to use it? We are literally next door at the Embassy.
Random idea: OCTA should set up a form of paratransit that’s exclusive to resort hotels… at rate slightly higher than locals…Yes that is my understanding as well. I doubt if local residents would like their tax dollars go to fund paratransit designed for use by tourists.Random idea: OCTA should set up a form of paratransit that’s exclusive to resort hotels… at rate slightly higher than locals…
Slipping the bus driver a $50 bill will help them forget to ask if you are staying at the hotel.I wonder if they will allow neighboring hotels to use it? We are literally next door at the Embassy.
I am thinking Uber or Lyft would be cheaper.Slipping the bus driver a $50 bill will help them forget to ask if you are staying at the hotel.
I don't think so because I don't think this is something Disney has any control or influence over.I wonder if Disney secretly planned this just so people will go in debt and stay at the resort hotels.
Light rail from LA to Anaheim. ART from transit center to hotels.ART runs to LA? Which route?
If you want cheap why wouldn't you just take the OCTA #43 bus?I am thinking Uber or Lyft would be cheaper.
If I remember correctly, from staying there for a work conference, there were machines in the lobby where you bought your tickets. Don't know if you also needed to show proof of staying at the hotel or not.
We probably will. My cheap comment was specifically regarding slipping a $50 to the driver. If you want cheap why wouldn't you just take the OCTA #43 bus?
ART doesn't goes to the nearest light rail station which is the C Line light rail station at 105 and 605. The LA Metro #460 bus does go between there and Disney. Amtrak and LA Commuter Rail stop at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Center. Is that what you are thinking of?Light rail from LA to Anaheim. ART from transit center to hotels.

Perhaps I don’t know all the different lines. I just know I was able to get from USC through downtown down to the Anaheim connection center and then take a bus from there to the hotel when I was staying at the Westin.ART doesn't goes to the nearest light rail station which is the C Line light rail station at 105 and 605. Finding "free" at Disneyland is like trying to find a virgin in a maternity ward.
