Transfer Question

I have never transfered points before and i have a few questions. I am planning a larger family trip and need to transfer some points from another member. I am hesitant about giving my DVC information out to anyone else. Does anyone know what information I will need to give the other member so that they are able to transfer points into my account. Please if possible walk me through the process I am a newbie!!!!

Your name and city state and/or country.

If you are the one receiving the points, then the other member needs to know your name and city, state/country. Then that member calls MS and authorizes MS to transfer their points. They tell MS, please transfer ### points from my AKV contract number XXXXXXX to Mary Smith, Smithville, Arkansas.

Many CMs at Member Services will request the receiving member's membership number but it is not necessary if the info noted by pp is all you wish to provide, if so & the CM is insistent on membership number ask to speak with a supervisor who is familiar with transfers. Many members do provide their membershp number to the member who will transfer the points to them; there isn't any danger in doing so because that member cannot accesss your account without your social security number or some other security detail that you have provided to MS.
