I read the forum and wanted to make sure i have everything right.

Im looking at purchasing a small contract 50pts at SSR with June UY
I have 100 pts BCV oct UY and 300 pts BCV Dec UY

My usual travel times are Jan and Oct.

I understand that if i transfer points from one contract they will retain the same 7 and 11 month booking window for the original resort. I also read if i transfer points i can still bank them.

so… here is the math

June '14 SSR, i can transfer the 50 point to BCV but it would go into the Oct or Dec '14 year….right? or is it the '13 year? But they still are available until May 2015?

to use the points at BCV i have to do a 7 month window, and the earliest i can use when i transfer is November ( past my usual oct time, but still avail for Jan)

If i transfer the june '14 points and then bank them, they are available until May 2016, but cannot be before june '15

Do I have that correct?

to maximize the SSR points for BCV i at most could get 100pts for Nov '15 to may '16 by transferring '14 and '15 years points and banking "14 points
but only 50 points if i transfer '14 points once and then bank once to use in Oct '15 .

I have a big caution for you, IMO you are setting yourself up for problems. Transferred points do not show up in your account, MS has trouble keeping track of them and they make mistakes with them. We transferred 1 time and our account was so screwed up and we lost a reservation because of MS. Took several phone calls over a week to get our account corrected. We vowed never to transfer again.

I was wondering about that. How can you monitor transferred points? Do they still show in the original contract still?

No they are moved from the original and (I'm guessing) put in the notes section on the receiving contract. You can't see the notes and MS has to look there to see them. Our problem is that they applied them to the wrong UY so when it came time to book our reservation, they said that we didn't have the points. We had to fight to get them to understand their mistake and by the time they got done screwing around, someone had taken our AKV Club Level inventory out from under us.

Another issue is that the transfer rules don't cover transferring from and to yourself. DVC has granted such transfers in the past but the rules specifically address transfers from one member to another.
