Last year I made several shirts for my Disney trip. Turns out I didn't do enough research before heading to Michaels and I got totally confused in the transfer paper section! I bought what sounded like what I wanted but it didn't exactly work out the way I had hoped. I would like to try again this year but with better results! I know my fellow Disers will have the answers I need!

First I thought the paper would be clear but it was white. This was OK for the white shirts but looked awful on the colored ones! Can someone tell me what I should be looking for so I buy the right stuff this time?

Second, after 1 wash, the transfer paper wrinkled all up and I ended up throwing the shirts away. Are there brands that are better than others? We are going for 2 weeks this year so I would like to get more than 1 wearing out of them!

Thanks for your help :)

Most people love Amymickeys tranfer papers. We bought a heat press so we use paper designed for them...

If you are putting the designs on shirts that are other than white trim the transfer paper to just what you want or request the design with a border so it looks finished... Don't forget to post pictures of the finished products

amymickey, I'll have to do a google search to see if I can find that.

I hadn't thought about the border on a colored shirt, good idea!

If you buy the Light transfer paper it will appear clear on your colored shirts. The border around your design is a good tip. If you want the white to show by Dark transfer paper. I'm doing a zebra design for my daughter's purple shirt so I need the white to show = dark transfer paper.

Also, I have a question? In your siggie where to you get the Sun Banner. I want one.
