Transfer of Deed

I have a Boardwalk Villa I'm going to transfer via quit claim deed to my daughters. Is there anyone that has done the same thing and if so who can I use locally that can take care of the details for me.would appreciate replies.

You will need to work through DVC. The question is whether you need to go through the formal ROFR approval or not. Talk to Member Admin and ask them about it. The process is similar though once you get to the deed standpoint. You cannot split the points. You record the deed and original waiver with Orange County (assuming WDW) and send DVC a copy with the transfer fee. You can get the contact info for Orange County through their website. Your first option is to contact DVC and discuss it with them.

Ive already started the process by applying for a waiver and what I'll need next is some one to do the preparation of the transfer deed. do you know of a local attorney that handles this. Thanks

I could give you the name of several attorney's (closing companies). Timeshare Transfers will be the cheapest as they will prepare the deed and do the recording for $250 including a $50 allowancce for the fees. They will do the deed only for $100 which is about the best you'll get a firm to do it for. In this situation, assuming no divorce or similar situation, I'd do it all myself. Just take your old deed and go from there. In the meantime, contact Orange County and get the address and exact fees for this situation. I've already done this exactly as I've stated other than I was the seller rather than the buyer. And a simple quit claim deed would work well in this situation if you wanted. You'll need ot record the original waiver along with the deed.
