CharlesTD said:Well lets see what word could properly answer this question I think it is this one YES we did and the Dr said it would be fine also if she could even walk on the cast which none of us figured she would ever do but she is a very strong willed kid and she did it.

CharlesTD said:No offence Jill but what does it really matter to you she isn't your daughter she is ours and when we asked the DR he said if she could walk in the cast then there was no reason to keep her off it. So we let her.
froglady said:Then your DR should be reported to his medical society...IF he REALLY said it was OK for a child in a full leg cast to jump on a trampoline!!!
And it's right, she is YOUR daughter, so why should any of us care? Oh, right, it has nothing to do with those high insurance costs for medical care. (Oh, in your case, the amount that the province deducts from paychecks for same.)
Now I'll back out.![]()

CharlesTD said:Actually the province only covers plaster casts if we want a fiberglass one we have to pay for it so we did. As for the DR he is one of the most highly respected orthapedic childrens DR's around so if he says sure then I am good with that. Just so that yourself and Jill know there is no hard feelings on this subject everyone has thier own opinions of what is right and wrong and not everyone will always agree with them.
tiggersmom2 said:I absolutely agree!!! I have NEVER heard of a medical professional endorsing these things....and I am IN the medical field!
froglady said:I would love to know his name, so the next time I see him I could ask him what the hell he was thinking!![]()
On second thought, I don't want to know. I'll just tell this story at all the cocktail parties and dinners I attend at the next PEDIATRIC ORTHOPAEDIC SOCIETY of NORTH AMERICA meeting and see who thinks it's a good idea.![]()

pattyT said:We have had it for 6 years - no insurance issues at all - but if they did threaten to cancel - Dh would say Fine - we don't need insurance anyways - its a waste of money -
(we don't owe on the house so it is not required)
Respect the rules - thats all - teach your kids to respect the rules too -
I saw a video on tv of an absolute IDIOT in our state who was jumping on a trampoline and decided it would be neat to jump off it into one of those little blow up pools - needless to say he broke his back or neck and was floating when the video stopped - they said he was gong to survive...
ya well - that was just plain stupid - and his wife caught it all on tape and they played it over and over on the news...
