Hello,
Looking at videos of the train ride, it appears that there can be a line to wait in. Is there 1 train on the circuit at a time or are they running multiple trains simultaneously?

The train comes approximately every 7-8 minutes. It is currently under refurbishment until March 2,2017

I believe its 2 trains per day. WDW Has a total of Four trains.

There are either 2 or 3 trains at any given time. I am not 100% sure but definitely 2 minimum.

The wait can be up to 20 minutes, depending on how many trains are running at a given time on a given day, but it's usually shorter than that.

The CM are pretty good at letting you know how long it will be before the next one comes some times there really is not may people waiting and you can find a place to sit while you wait, nice relaxing break.

And yes there's usually a line to wait in. If you don't show up right as it's boarding, I've usually had about a 10 min wait

And the wait will depend on the people on the train. No one is forced to get off, so if very few people leave at a given stop, then only a few people will be able to board the train. Conversely if everyone gets off, then alot of people get on. So it may be short, or it may be several trains.
