Trails end

It's been a few years since we ate there. It was okay but not impressive enough we care to return. Lots of people rave about it, so I should mention that our tastes run to the Signatures in terms of what we like to eat.

What chilled me on TE was the ribs which were nowhere near as good as those we get at home in St. Louis. I'm spoiled, obviously. DH said the fried chicken was very good, but that was it.

We did have a terrific server, friendly and very efficient, who anticipated needs like drink refills almost before we did.

Loved it when it was a buffet. Last time we were at the Fort it was still closed, October 20.
It's been open for a little while now as family style. We won't be back again until it's back to its full buffet offerings.

Trails End is great, but I'm referring to the full buffet. Probably my favorite place on property. I would suggest not gong until it goes back to normal, thats just my opinion though.

Haven't been there post-Covid. It's just fair for me. I think it's a small buffet with fewer options.

We ate there for the first time in January and thought it was very good. The salad and bread starters were tasty...especially the hush puppies. The main course was also very good and as an added bonus they threw in some of the fried chicken as well when asked. One member of the group ate plant based this trip and the plant based options here were some of her favorites this trip. And not surprising, the desert sundae was a big hit with the kids (and adults).

We personally are not fans of buffets so the family style was more appealing to us. We were able to get more of anything we wanted. The server was excellent and overall the meal exceeded our expectations.

The only think I dislike was the travel TO the Fort. We did TE on our MK day and it was a decent amount of time all in for dinner.

We ate there last week and we were not impressed. Server was fantastic but the food was overpriced meh. The cornbread was cold. There were no hush puppies or other options as previous poster mentioned. Just cold cornbread. Salad was good but pretty basic. The skillet was good (smoked chicken, brisket, pulled pork, baby potatoes, green beans, and corn on the cob) Dessert was ok. 3 flavors of a dessert in large shot glasses. Mostly tasted like instant pudding and cool whip except for the apple which tasted like canned filling. I would not go there again, at least not with current menu. I think for a family style meal, Liberty Tree Tavern and Whispering Canyon Cafe are much better options.

I agree 100% this restaurant used to be a hidden gem and now it's just garbage.

It was soooooo much better when it was the buffet.
