The food was great there. I ate there in 2005. It's probably one of the best values in WDW since it's a buffet.

If you check out the camping board a lot has changed in the last 4 years and its most likely not the same menu you had in 2005.

Trails End is not what it was at all in 2005.

BriarRosie was talking about my post on the Facebook. The Trails End lunch is nowhere what it was just over a year ago. I didn't even mind when they went to soup, sandwiches, salads etc. I liked it. But they removed many items, and the price is now $14.99 plus tax and tip for lunch.

Even Flame Tree isn't what it was a couple of months ago. No cornbread, no beef sandwich anymore. You can't not only rely on what you experience in 2005, you can't always expect a place to stay the same month-to-month.

I said on my FB that I found the Tusker House a much better value now for lunch. It is $5.00 more, but it offers SO much more in the variety of food choices. And this is from someone - me - who has been a huge fan of Trails End for many, many years. I brought family and friends, told everyone about it. I don't know how dinner is, but expect it's a better value than lunch is.

Breakfast had changed over the past few years too, I think it was a lot better before.

Thanks for expanding upon your FB post, Denise.

I still haven't tried Tusker House since they went to full service, but I keep meaning to. Maybe sometime in October or December I'll get around to it.

My last experience with Trail's End was around 2005 or earlier, so I know my info's way out of date.
